This songbook represents a “24 hour celebration of life” in honor of the 52 freed American hostages held captive in Iran.  This book was conceived and written between 12:00 PM, January 20, 1081, (Inauguration Day) and 12:00 PM the following day. This would be the first 24 hours of freedom for the hostages. Contained in this songbook are 24 musical expressions representing some of the experiences and emotions happening across America, while each of the 52 were feeling the reality of freedom. This would be the first day in over 400 that they would be free: still, America went on and soon the 52 would catch up. I invite you to re-experience the “celebration of life” contained in these 24 emotional songs and to experience the feelings of Ronnie Lee on Inauguration Day 1981, as all of America embraced the hostages and a new president.
