The Adventures of
Buddy & Max 4 – At the Doctor
Buddy & Max were playing with a Frisbee, in the yard
They were being a little ruff playing, really hard
But all of a sudden, pain struck in
It hurt Buddy like sitting, on a pin
A bumble bee on his rump, had left his regard
Buddy began to howl such a, dreadful sound
All the neighborhood heard, all-round
It sounded like someone, was killing
Or at least very much, just willing
To make someone’s discomfort, more compound
Poor Max did not know what, he could do
To ease Buddy’s pain so he started, howling too
Then the man came to, the rescue
And the puppies, took their cue
The man could make things better, they both knew
But Buddy & Max had not, counted on
The man taking Buddy to a, dog salon
To see the, Vet-Doctor
A really, show-stopper
Buddy panicked about what was, going on
Buddy did not like people in, white coats
They had a funny odor they smelled, like goats
Everything around them, was scary
He did not feel safe, not vary
The feeling to leave he sensed, the most
But there was a familiar odor the, nose knows
It was the man’s scent that Buddy’s, nose knows
He felt so, much better
A real, pain-forgetter
Buddy did not have to look because his, nose knows
He could tell by the smell it reminded him, of home
Buddy felt much better he was not so, alone
Then he felt a, friendly hand
The touch on his head, of the man
But what would happen next was still, unknown
The man assured Buddy that things, would be ok
Lie still that is the way, he must stay
Let the doctor have, a look-see
To find out what, it could be
Causing you so much pain, that a way
Buddy was shaking with, much fear
Each time the Doctor, came near
What he, found next
Left him, perplexed
The doctor could see one thing, real clear
There was a small red spot upon, inspection
That sent the doctor in a different, direction
He told Buddy, nothing to fear
I can tell that a, bee has been here
At least now that is my, conception
The Doctor put on some salve and gave Buddy, a treat
It was not his favorite but it was something, to eat
The sound he was, just waiting to hear
Was the man say Buddy, let’s get out of here
Away from the Doctor back home sounded, real sweet
Now going to the Doctor can sound a, little scary
But when you are sick you don’t feel, very merry
The only way you will, ever get well
Is to go to the Doctor, they can tell
There is nothing to fear its quite, the contrary
Buddy & Max were safe at, home once again
Buddy & Max were very, grateful Amen
Puppies living together, with the man
Doing their best the, best they can
They prayed together this, would never end
Buddy & Max learned to, trust and obey
Buddy & Max learned there’s, no other way
Don’t make a judgment on, your first impression
Trust the Doctors, that’s their profession
They can help you have a, better today
Buddy learned that pain is trying to, tell you something
But what is very painful can sometimes, be just nothing
Put your trust in the people, who know
Don’t ever trust a stranger, although
Don’t try to heal yourself that would, be a dumb thing
Buddy & Max know their Vet-Doctor, is their best friend
When Buddy got hurt that’s when their, friendship began
Max watched Buddy, when he was in pain
He watched as Buddy, recovered again
You can trust your Doctor Buddy & Max, both recommend
