The Pillars of Faith

Gratitude & Responsibility

Ding dong the bells, will ring

Remind us it’s time, to sing

          It is, Sunday school

          Don’t you, be uncool

Come celebrate, our King

Buddy & Max knew this would, be the last lesson

They both agreed and shared, the same confession

They would be sorry, to say

To have the last, school day

Before the children were off, for summer session

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

The Bible says to be thankful in all, circumstances

Ask God to lead your step don’t take, uncertain chances

          Rejoice always and, pray continually

Do not live your, life sinfully

Thrust in Jesus Christ He has, all the answers

Colossians 2:6-7

Just as you received Christ, Jesus as Lord

And His word as a, two edge sward

If we live our, life in Him

He will forgevin us, of our sin

Then someday in heaven we receive, our reward

Be strengthened in faith like, Jesus taught

Overflowing with thankfulness and, worry naught

Give thanks always, for all things

Rejoice in what, the Lord brings

His will is that we should never, be distraught

Colossians 3:17

Whatever you do whether in, word or deed

The Lord is listening and watching, guaranteed

Pray in the name of, Jesus

And He will always, see us

As His children and He will provide, every need

The man read Bible stories about being thankful

And with some things that can be quite a handful

Sometimes things don’t seem so good

They don’t go as we wish they wood

And being grateful can seem quite a handful

Buddy & Max had a lot of, gratitude

They had a very happy, attitude

Doggise can always say thank you

With their eyes when they look at you

Buddy & Max learned this from, beatitudes

The man said it was our responsibility

To do the best, of our ability

To read God’s, word each day

          To study and, meditate

Opens you to endless great, possibility

Luke 16:10

Dr. Luke wrote he who can be, trusted with little

Trusting him with a lot would, be beneficial

Be a good steward with, money

          You may need it, someday

When you feel like you are, caught in the middle

We are responsible to respect God’s creation

Together under God we are all one nation

We will have to answer to Him

          Unless we have been forgiven

By the guilf of the Lord’s salvation

Do not blame others for your mistakes

Be truthful or a liar out of you it makes

Be responsible for your own actions

No mater what may be the infractions

Denying responsibility makes God’s heart ache

The man said we are responsible for the way, we treat others

The Lord is our heavenly father we are, sisters and brothers

Each one of us has, a free will

Each choice is up, to us still

All burdened with sin that pray to, Him recovers

Ephesians 6:1-4

Children obey your parents in the Lord for this is right

Honor your father and mother morning noon and at night

In every way that you can

          Always honor them

This is very pleasing in the Lord’s sight

Then the man closed the picture book and said

He wanted to point out something he read

Something that was very important to him

The Lord was born died and arose for our sin

This is to good news the Gospel we must spread

Buddy & Max on the way home did some thinking

About how going to Sunday School they would be missing

Until the kids came back from summer vacation

To Sunday School for more Bible education

Tell us more good news they will all be singing
