The Pillars of Truth
Joseph & Moses
Ding dong the bells, will ring
Remind us it’s time, to sing
It is, Sunday school
Don’t you, be uncool
Come celebrate, our King
Buddy & Max were eating, their supper
When Max played Buddy, for a sucker
When Buddy’s back, was turned
Then to his dish he, returned
Max had eaten the last of, his supper
Nothing means more to a dog, than food
Sometimes dogs can get, quite rude
If you try to, take away
What they want to, eat today
They might think you, are crude
The man stepped in when he heard, a growl
He was not too sure who committed, a foul
The man was the, authority
No need for a, majority
The man was a wise, old owl
The man gave both doggies, a big hug
And placed them on their, doggie rug
Then he told a, new story
About God and, his glory
It gave both their heart, a big tug
Genesis 43-45
Joseph was a boy with a, designer coat
His brothers were jealous, make a note
They were willing to, sell him
Far away from, his kin
Joseph did not even, get a vote
Joseph was sent into, slavery
His brother had no, bravery
For sending him, away
Far off to Egypt, that day
Where he met a man from the, bakery
When the king had some, bad dreams
The baker said Joseph, it seems
Could know what, they meant
And with the King’s, consent
Joseph became a new ruler of, extreme
There was a great famine in all, the land
That affects every child woman, and man
The Breadbasket of, Egypt
Was no special, secret
Joseph’s brothers could, understand
God put Joseph as the judge over, his brothers
God showed Joseph to, forgive others
That may have harmed you, in the past
Your bad feelings should, never last
Within your heart you’re the one, who suffers
Exodus 3
The man had a lot much, more to say
He was practicing his speech, for Sunday
He started talking about, Moses
He had so much to, show us
Buddy & Max had a, cool fun day
Moses was a slave raised, by a queen
She was very nice not, at all mean
She took him in, as her own son
That’s when the, trouble began
When Pharo made a, really bad seen
God use Moses to free the, Israelites
Pharo holding them gave, up the fight
Disease and pests, tormented him
From the old to the, youngest of kin
Until Pharo told Moses get out, of my site
This is the story of, Moses
And what God wants to, show us
God parted ,the sea
Between Pharo, and he
God will do the same, for us
God told Moses write on a tablet, of stone
The Ten Commandments I give to you, alone”
God gave Moses, the law
Moses passed it on to, us all
The Bible is God’s word carved, in stone
